Andrusw Araujo: Feeling the coach's trust is the most important thing for a player

Venezuelan defensive midfielder of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Andrusw Araujo became the hero of the next issue of FOCUS ON on the club's YouTube.

- Patrick van Leeuwen noted your attitude to work in his interview: you always come to training with a smile, and this, according to him, is the key to your future success. What do such words from the coach mean to you?

- The feeling of trust from the coach is the most important thing for a player. When you feel this support, you want to give your best for the coach, for the team. You create happiness yourself, day after day: you communicate with your teammates, you smile even in the face of difficulties. You always have to keep a smile. Such words motivate, fill you with joy and give you the strength to move forward.

- You quickly adapted to the rhythm of the UPL and are already demonstrating stable results. What helped you to integrate into Ukrainian football so quickly?

- The adaptation really went quickly, and the main thing is the team. The guys accepted me perfectly, and the feeling of trust helped to show that I came here to achieve important goals together with them and the Club. I want to give joy and motivation. My energy and enthusiasm are transmitted to others in matches and training. Yes, it's getting colder now - we're getting used to it. I came from a very warm city, but nothing is impossible - we're working to be ready for anything.

- Today we watched you throughout the entire training. Tell us what it was like for you?

- I guess a smile was missing today. I gave myself completely, as always. The main thing is to work harder every day, to improve what needs to be improved. There is always a reason to work to grow as a person and as a football player.

- If you could draw up a program for the perfect training yourself - what would it look like? More tactics, technique, game moments or, perhaps, something unconventional?

- I'm a player, not a coach. The coaching staff knows better what we need. We always take their tasks with responsibility. My task is to listen to the coach and do everything to the maximum together with my partners.

- What has a greater influence: your mood determines how the training will be, or vice versa - a good training energizes you for the whole day?

- My mood and training are closely related. I always try to go out on the field with a smile, because it energizes both me and the team. As my father says, even in difficult situations, you should always smile. This helps you give yourself completely to training.

- We saw how you communicate with your teammates during exercises. How important is the atmosphere in the team during training for you?

- The atmosphere is everything. When there is trust and positivity in the team, then it is easier to work. We motivate each other, we energize. My strength and enthusiasm are transmitted to others, and this helps keep the team in good shape both in training and in matches.

- Do you have any small superstitions before training? For example - how you tie your shoelaces will the training go?

- No, I don't have any rituals. I just try to go out on the field with my friends, with a good mood and a smile. This is the most important thing. I do what I love, what I've lived for since childhood, what I fought for.

- What moment from today's training would you include in your personal "highlight"?

- Happiness, joy, unity - that's all. This is the main "highlight".
