The сroatian defender of the Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Ante Bekavaс answered the question of the online edition of UA-football. The most relevant moments of conversation to your attention.
- Who do you communicate with in the team and who has time to make it?
- I communicate most with my countryman Jan Jurcec. We are roommates and very good at the first days. It is a pleasure to have someone from your native culture - it helps to adapt faster. But in general, the atmosphere in the team is very friendly, so I communicate with many.
- Kryvbas goes in the leading group in the championship. Is it a fair place for the team at the moment or could it be higher?
- Of course, it is nice to be in the top 5, but I think that our potential is much higher. We are an ambitious team, and everyone inside the team understands we can fight for even higher positions. We have a clear plan, a strategy, and we work every day to move forward.
- How much do you understand the football of your new coach Van Leuven?
- Patrick van Leeuwen requires very intense football - both in training and during matches. He constantly emphasizes the rapid decision -making, proper location on the field and high control of the ball. His style is a dynamic, attack with constant pressure on the opponent. I am impressed by this approach, and I believe that I already understand his philosophy well. I work to make the most of his ideas on the field.
- Your impression of the Ukrainian Championship. Can you compare it to Croatia and Bosnia championships? Where is it harder to play?
- The Ukrainian Premier League has a very high level, it is noticeable from the first matches. High intensity, aggressive game, constant pressing. Compared to Bosnia, it is really difficult here. Players are physically well prepared, and the tactical level is also at altitude. In Croatia, there are strong clubs, but the overall level of competition in UPL, in my opinion, is higher.
- Croatia also survived the war. Did your family be affected by the war?
- The war in Croatia was in the early 1990s, and although the region where my parents lived did not suffer directly, life was very difficult. My grandfather has served for four years, and his family has been preserved in our family - difficult, painful. The war always leaves deep traces. I sincerely pray for the war in Ukraine to end as soon as possible. I wish people here peace, stability and peaceful life. You deserve it.
