Antoni Mascaro: We fought until the very end against a strong opponent

Antoni Mascaro, head coach of FC "Kryvbas" U-19:

- I think it was an even game. Of course, "Dynamo" has a certain advantage in class, but I think we fought very well. We have fewer options for rotation than they do, that's understandable, but we fought until the very end. I'm glad to see my players compete with such a team, but, of course, I'm disappointed with the defeat.

We analyzed the opponent, watched many of their matches and knew how they would act. They didn't change anything in their game. So we were ready. We were comfortable with the plan that we had prepared. But it's easy for me to talk about tactics, but it's more difficult for the players on the field. Some of our mistakes and small details in the first half helped them score.

Today we defended more with a low block. We knew that if we go to play with them personally "one on one", it will be difficult. But we prepared as best we could, considering that at each training session we now have nine or ten players. However, we worked out the game plan as much as possible. The guys understood everything and did not change anything during the game. We continued to bend our line, the team is good. But today the class won.

- Of course, it was a very difficult game, but we tried our best. It's all about a quick goal. We lost concentration and missed. But, despite this moment, we continued to play well until the very end. We have serious losses - about five or six players are injured, so... And they play in the main squad.

Somehow we managed to save the team, but it was all thanks to the help of my partners. I played well, and we all played well too, but, unfortunately, we lost. The first half was more difficult because they had more energy. They attacked at full strength, very powerfully. But in the second half, I thought they got a little tired, and we had more opportunities to equalize.
