Antoni Mascaro: We deserved more than a draw

Comments after the match of the 20th round of the UPL 2025\2026 "Polissya" U-19 - "Kryvbas" U-19 1:1.

Antoni Mascaro, head coach of FC "Kryvbas" U-19:

- We are happy because we played a really good game against one of the best teams in the league. The guys played very well, and I think I need to watch and analyze the video of the match first. In my opinion, we still deserved more than a draw today. We had many good opportunities at the other team's goal, but, unfortunately, we missed these opportunities and in the end we were able to get only one point.

I assess the team's game very positively. In terms of defense, we planned certain situations. They understood what they had to do and did a really good job. We lacked individuality in working with the ball. We need more inside play, and when we tried to create such situations and find players in the center, we had more options.

It was a really good game. Overall, the match was somewhat even, both teams tried to fight for the win. But if anyone should have taken three points, it was, of course, Kryvbas. The opponent made two dangerous shots on our goal. But hey, this is football, it's not about what you deserve, but what you take. We scored only one goal today and got one point.

Matvii Bodnar, forward of FC Kryvbas U-19:

- The game was not very difficult, and the guys gave it their all. In the last game against this opponent, we almost failed at nothing. Today we gathered ourselves properly, showed character and could even snatch three points. There was not enough execution to win. But we need to keep working hard to score all our chances in the future.
