Antoni Mascaro: Happy to win and proud of our team

Comments after the match of the 12th round of the UPL 2025\2026 "Karpaty" U-19 - "Kryvbas" U-19 - 2:3.

Antoni Mascaro, head coach of FC "Kryvbas" U-19:

- I think that we did not play the first half of the match very well. The first ten minutes we tried to create counterattacks, but after the goal we conceded we felt some uncertainty. In my opinion, in the first half we did not show the proper intensity and play at full strength to compete with such a team.

During the break, we discussed these moments with the guys, paid attention to the key details that could help us win. Despite several dangerous moments near our goal, we conceded another goal, but the team managed to gather itself. Today the guys acted more confidently than in previous matches. We are returning home with three points, and that is the main thing.

I am happy that we won. I am proud of the boys because they were able to adapt to the situation on the field. We changed positions, gave a chance to players who had little playing time before. They showed character, endurance and a desire to fight until the end. I am really happy because I see that I can count on every player in the team.

Rostyslav Plotko, foreard of FC Kryvbas U-19:

- The game turned out to be good for us. In the first half we acted well, in the second we added something and managed to snatch an important victory. We showed that we are one team that can defeat any opponent. I am glad that I scored my first goal of the season, but the main thing is that Karpaty U-19 got three points. The victory is more valuable because we got it after losing during the match.
