Bizimana, Rwanda's captain, faced Nigeria away. His team staged a comeback at the end of the match of the 6th round of the group stage and won a strong-willed victory - 2:1. However, this was not enough to reach the final part of the African Cup of Nations 2025. Rwanda overtook Benin in terms of points, but remained third in terms of additional indicators. Striker Daniel Sosa, together with Niger, gave a rich away match against Ghana. The teams exchanged goals, the guests scored the second goal in stoppage time, and in the last seconds the Ghanaians received the right to a penalty.
