Bohdan Shabadash: The score does not reflect the nature of our game - we see the team's progress

Comments after the match of the 6th round of the Prime League of the Women's Championship of Ukraine 2026/2027 Women "Polissya" - Women "Kryvbas" (6:1).

Bohdan Shabadash, head coach of Women "Kryvbas":

- I think that we did not deserve such a score. And the girls did well today - they gave it their all. The final numbers on the scoreboard are definitely not up to par. I will repeat again: the girls' individual mistakes were noticeable here. We are a young team. We work first of all to help the girls develop.

So that they are not afraid to play with experienced opponents: to put their foot down somewhere in time, to push somewhere, to pull their T-shirt within the rules. Probably, this uncertainty is the reason - at certain moments there is still fear. The first round, if we evaluate the start of the season in general, became indicative for us. We demonstrated that we will fight. We are definitely not a team that will just come to be bullied.

Yes, we are currently facing strong and experienced teams, but I am proud of our team for the fact that we are progressing from round to round. Perhaps, in general, this is not always noticeable, but if we evaluate the physical condition, technical training and tactical training, the girls' progress is obvious.

Polina Nazarenko, forward of Women "Kryvbas":

- We played very poorly today, a lot of things went wrong on the field. I think we were unable to fully execute the game plan. Personally, I feel that we could have played much better. We will draw conclusions and move on.
