Comments following the Matchday 13 encounter in the Prime League of the 2026/2027 Ukrainian Women’s Championship between WFC Kryvbas and Women Polissya (0:3).
Bohdan Shabadash, Assistant Head Coach of Women Kryvbas:
"Looking at the match as a whole, it was a challenging one - physically demanding, above all. However, I am completely satisfied with the players' commitment. They executed the game plan precisely. The team’s performance dipped slightly during the moments when we conceded goals. Against opponents of this caliber, you cannot afford a lapse in concentration; as soon as focus was lost, we conceded. Perhaps the players tried to improvise a bit too much on their own, and unfortunately, that led to us conceding those goals.
As for the previous match against Seasters? Those were two completely different games. In Odesa, we failed entirely in terms of our performance and tactical setup. Today, however, we stuck to the plan strictly. The goals we conceded were largely the result of individual errors by the players themselves. We will keep working, refining our tactical setup and specific details to ensure this doesn't happen again and to improve the overall quality of our play.
I thanked the team for their dedication. They did a fantastic job - they fought hard and gave their all on the pitch. Yes, there were moments where our performance dipped and concentration wavered, but it’s worth noting that we have the youngest squad in the Vyshcha League." At this level, young girls aged 16–17 are competing. They give their all, while we continue to develop, work, and make progress.
Polina Panchenko, midfielder for Women Kryvbas:
“It was a really tough match. We spent a lot of time defending and playing without the ball, which is always difficult. Still, we tried to give everything we had. I believe we need to work more on our collective team play. We are putting in the effort and focusing on our upcoming matches. Ladomyr is an opponent we are fully capable of competing against. So, we will approach that match with great seriousness and strive to put on our best possible performance.”
