Denys Matsebura: We are building the history of women's football in Ukraine right now, here at "Kryvbas"
Today we have an interview with Denys Matsebura, the senior coach of Kryvyi Rih FC Kryvbas-2 and FC Kryvbas U-15, a person who in a short period of time created two strong teams in the structure of the Club. The coach who led ZhFK "Kryvbas" U-15 to victory in the Cup of the Girls' League of Ukraine. Pupils of Matsebura are called up to the ranks of the national team of Ukraine, and the best are already training with the main women's team of "Kryvbas". Today we will talk with the coach about future plans.
- Denis Oleksandrovych, let's start with the last season, the debut season for you and for our teams. How did he turn out? What else needs to be worked on?
- The debut season seemed very interesting and full. We started with the initiative and support of Artem Gagarin, the vice-president of FC Kryvbas, and we created the first women's team in the structure of the Academy - WU-15. Then there were the first steps aimed at creating a good microclimate in the team, building a training process taking into account the fact that these are girls who are in their teens. I also devoted a lot of time to the psychological component, because I consider it one of the most important aspects of a coach's work.
This year was truly historic, because in a short period of time we were able to become champions of Ukraine: we won the Cup of the Ukrainian Girls' League WU-15. Our girls proved that anything is possible if you believe in your dream and work hard.
Later, again, not without the active participation of Artem Serhiyovych, a decision was made to create a duplicate women's team of Kryvbas - ZhFK Kryvbas-2, which made its debut in the First League of Ukraine and won its first historic victories. A new team is a new challenge, so we immediately set to work.
This team enabled young soccer players to gain invaluable experience of playing in adult soccer. It was thanks to this team that it was easier for our talented players to adapt to a new level, completely different speeds and take a step forward in their professional development.
Yes, there is always something to work on. These are individual skills, tactical understanding, psychology, and many other points that always require attention and that must be constantly developed and improved in wards.
- How do you manage to combine work in "Kryvbas-2" and "Kryvbas" WU-15?
- I don't know myself (smiles). And without joking, it's not very difficult if you know your job well, love it and give it your all. Thanks to the professional attitude of the girls to the matter, I do not experience any difficulties, because we are one big red and white family. As for the two teams, training took place alternately, taking into account the age characteristics of the girls
- What changes took place during the winter off-season? When do teams resume work?
- The main change is that ZFK "Kryvbas-2" stops playing in the First League, the team is disbanded. Some footballers from the double are currently in the training process with the first team. Others decided to try to gain experience with other clubs. I wish everyone who left only success and a bright football future. You are great young people.
- Regarding your current responsibilities after these changes. What are they now?
- The most important duty is to develop and prepare girls for the main team of Kryvbas. Do as much as possible so that this transition is comfortable for the girls. So that they are ready to perform at the highest level from a psychological, technical and moral point of view. They should be ready to help the main team win over time. Another important task for me is the search for talented soccer players throughout Ukraine.

- I will say this, we are building the history of women's football in Ukraine right now, here in Kryvbas.
