Denys Matsebura: Our main goal is to prepare girls for the WFC Kryvbas
Senior Coach of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas in WU -15 Denis Matsebur - about the results of the first half of the season 2024 \ 2025.
- In the first part of the Girl's League season, our team won five victories in five matches and confidently leads in its group. How can you appreciate this game segment?
- The first part of the championship seemed very good for us. We effectively conducted training, worked a lot on mistakes. Therefore, I think that the first place is a very good result, but we will work further, improve and draw conclusions about the fact that we do not come out as we would like. In general, they held the first half of the championship very positively. We will try to lift the bar even higher.
- Which first circle match can you call the best for the team?
- Probably the first match of the season against the ofpe- Polissya, which we played at home. The cool start, because we scored in the first minute by the efforts of Polina Nazarenko, who made a raid from the center of the field, came to a shock position and distinguished itself with a cool ball.
The girls in this match demonstrated a cool character, the will to Wins, they played harmonized, did everything to get three Points in the first duel, because they know that the winning start of the season is the key to a successful performance. So I want to note this game for the least number of errors and for qualitatively completed tasks that were set before the team.
- Are they satisfied with how girls showed themselves on the field, including the football players who joined the team this season?
- Well, there are moments that still need to work hard. As for the players who joined Kryvbas in the WU-15, I can note that in some aspects they have already added well, and it takes more time for any moments. But in general, I am pleasantly surprised how they quickly adapted in the team, how the girls accepted them at all. Because it all has a great impact on playing players as a whole, so I'm satisfied with brand new girls.
girls who are not in the team for the first year, I am sure that at the moment and in the future they will show a good level, not stop and try to progress even more. The main purpose of our team is to prepare girls physically, morally, technically for performances for the main women's team Kryvbas in the Higher League.
- What are the goals before Kryvbas wu -15 in the second half of the season? - for Kryvbas in WU-15 the most important goals are to win every game, to glorify women's football in Kryvbas and in Ukraine. The closest goal is to become 3 -time champions of Ukraine. - What are the team plans for the off-season? Will there be a viewing of new football players to our maiden team? - Currently, the team has gone on vacation. By December 30, we even forbade girls to think about football (laughs). Then they will receive individual work plans, which will increase their level to enter the training process prepared to minimize injuries or any damage. Then - collection of teams after vacation and sparring. Also, many girls will come to view, so looking at it, we will conclude how to continue to build a team game at what aspects. - How do you see women's football development in Ukraine? - I now think that in Ukraine women's football has started moving up. There are a lot of conversations and projects that want to start implementing women's football as soon as possible. This applies to women's team games that are not so easy to find even on the Internet. It would be cool to create a women's sports channel, including football. I think there are so many ideas for the development of our sport. If you support and develop it, but everyone will work in one direction, women's football will have the future in Ukraine. I would very much like women's football to gain no less popular than male. - How is your collaboration with the new director FA Kryvbas Marios Alexandris? - We are constantly in connection and cooperate so that our girls can progress every day. We communicate without a translator, because I understand English, we can discuss certain working moments on the phone and live. Alexandris does a lot for girls and for the development of women's football at our Academy. Currently, there is only positive from communication and cooperation because there are big goals and plans you will learn about later. - How is your conect with the head coach Women Kryvbas Konstantin Frolov? - With Konstantin Frolov, after each game we also communicate on the phone or on the basis. We discuss matches and how the girls worked, who does not work, who is as progressing. He is treated with questions about the players, whom he would like to connect to the women's team. We are always in touch, even on vacation. - We have questions from our subscribers. How did you come to football?
- What motivates you most?
- see how my wards reach the goal. Help not to go out of your chosen path even when very difficult.
- What tips would you give girls who just start playing football?
- the most important thing is belief in yourself and work. If you believe in what you do, no matter how difficult it is and what obstacles you do not happen on the way to the goal, you will be able to overcome everything over time. You must always remember what is hard to always, but if you lower your hands, then you will not know what a cool taste Wins and reaching the goal.
- Is it true that your Matsebur's name has Japanese roots?
- no, not true (laughs). My last name, probably as well as each of us, has many roots. But, I think it's the most Ukrainian surname.
What do you see the women's national team in 10 years?
- a national team that will fight for the highest places. We are currently growing very cool and competitive youth, which gives us many chances and belief that women's football in Ukraine will be very strong soon.
