- Work on the preparation of the stadium field Hirnyk was started on January 27, three and a half weeks before the match of the 18th round of UPL Kryvbas - Veres. The preparation was started as the air temperature allowed. Conducted a complex of agrotechnical works and the field was covered

after 7 days, February 3, the canvas was removed and carried out by special work on the lawn. The air temperature was at that time comfortable for the grass lawn. On February 14, after analyzing the weather forecast, they expected rainfall and wet snow, so it was decided to replace the protective film to cover anti-influx. Soil temperature before covering the film was +5 degrees.

On February 15 in Kryvyi Rih, rainfall and wet snow began in Kryvyi Rih. At 10:00 the stadium staff began work to remove rain and snow residues from the lawn. On the same day, starting at 17:00, the air temperature began to decline rapidly and reached a mark of -12 degrees in the night period. Accordingly, moist soil under the protective coating is frozen. Soil temperature dropped to -1 degrees.

February 17, analyzing the weekly weather forecast (which is -14 degrees), the FC management Kryvbas made a decision to transfer the game, as the condition of the soil could cause injuries to players.

- yes you are absolutely right. At the stadium in Rivne there is heating. He started working two weeks before the current game. Unfortunately, there is no such heating at the stadium in Kryvyi Rih. We had a planned reconstruction of the field before the debut in UPL, even paid works and materials, but the reconstruction had to start at the end of spring to have time to update the field by summer.

But, as you know, on February 24, 2022, the war began, and at that time it was not clear that it would be with football at all. Therefore, the management refused the reconstruction and directed this money for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- If it was not for war, the stadium would have heated?

- We all understand that it would be better with heating and it is normal when there is heating at the stadium. But even his absence did not interfere with us two previous winters to take UPL matches

- that is, stadiums in Ukraine can in principle function without heating?

- we all understand, heating is needed, it simplifies work and allows you to function properly. But personally, I do not think that its absence is a reason not to allow the stadiums to the competition. Each arena, each field and each of its pieces - unique and everyone needs its own approach, that is what we, agronomists, and work. It is good that in this difficult situation in Ukraine are going to meet, and this requirement is not the main one for the stadium to be admitted to the competition.

When the war is over, then you need to return to discussing this issue and resolve with agronomists and representatives of all clubs the need for certain criteria.

- I know that despite the war, your club continues to build its stadium.

- Yes, when a full-scale invasion began, we did not have a new tribune at the stadium, but only the plans were replacing the field and the construction of two stands. As I said, they gave up the field. But one rostrum club completed and reconstructed and updated the field. Expanded the herb, shifted it, replaced problem areas and improved the drainage system.
