"Kryvbas" will play home matches of European Cup qualifiers in Košice

"Kryvbas" from Kryvyi Rih will play its home qualifying matches in the European Cups in Kosice, Slovakia.

Finally, we can officially confirm that the second largest city of Slovakia will witness a historic event for Kryvyi Rih - the return to international matches after a 24-year break! "Kryvbas" will play at the football arena of the same name in Košice, which can accommodate 12 spectators.

Note that Kryvyi Rih and Kosice are sister cities. In 2017, the cities signed a Declaration on cooperation in the field of sports.

"The main criterion in determining the "home" stadium for these rounds was logistics. We considered the arena in Kosice from the very beginning, but it was already occupied by another Ukrainian club. Following the withdrawal of this team from the competition, we received permission and can now officially confirm that Kryvbas will play European Cup matches in Slovakia. We decided on the stadium for the group stage a long time ago - it is one of the Euro-2024 arenas, in the city of Cologne, but it is still too early to talk about it now. There are very difficult qualification matches ahead," said the vice-president of Kryvbas Artem Gagarin.

The first game of the third qualifying round of the Europa League 2024/25 will take place on August 8 at the Košice Football Arena at 21:00 p.m. (CET) - 22:00 Kyiv time. Tickets will go on sale soon.
