Jimmy Mpanzu: We want to prove that we deserve more than what we have now

Jimmy Mpanzu, the Portuguese defender for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, spoke about the UPL Round 10 away match against Bukovyna Chernivtsi, which ended in a 0:0 draw.

- First of all, could you share your impressions of the match? Are you satisfied with the final result?

- First and foremost, I want to thank our fans who traveled such a long way to support us today. As for the game, we are heading home with only one point, even though we were hoping for more. We created quite a few scoring opportunities and, in my opinion, could easily have won. We need to analyze our mistakes, draw conclusions, and keep working to achieve our goals.

- This was the team's first match under the new head coach. Did you notice any changes within the team or in the way you play?

- Definitely. Our new coach is an excellent professional. There is a completely different atmosphere in the team, and I believe we were able to demonstrate that on the pitch today. Everyone is motivated and eager to give even more. The coach has brought something new to the team, and I am very happy about that. I think all my teammates share this view.

- In your opinion, what was missing the most today to secure a win?

- Above all, the ability to convert our chances. We had enough opportunities to score and take all three points, but we failed to capitalize on them. We need to have more faith in our own abilities, maintain our confidence, and be more clinical in the final stages of our attacks. It all comes down to our hard work and our willingness to fight until the very end.

- What goals has the team set for itself for the upcoming matches following this draw?

- We want to prove that we deserve more than what we currently have. To do that, we need to keep working, improve, and not give up - even in difficult situations. We have the potential to achieve our goals; the key is to believe in ourselves and convert our opportunities into goals.
