Giovany Herbert: We are very grateful to the fans for their support, especially during difficult moments

Panamanian midfielder for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, Giovany Herbert, spoke about the Ukrainian Cup Round of 16 away match against Zorya Luhansk, which ended 1:1 (3:2 on penalties).

- How are you feeling after the victory? How would you assess the team's performance today?

- I am very pleased with the team's win. I believe we all worked hard today and played a good match. My goal is a credit to the entire team, as everyone gave their maximum effort for our shared result. So, I am happy both with the victory and with how everything unfolded today.

- What did you feel the moment the ball went into the net after your shot?

- The emotions were incredible, as it had been quite a while since I last scored for Kryvbas. It’s a very positive moment, both for me personally and for the whole squad. I hope to keep scoring and helping the team secure victories. I saw how overjoyed my teammates were, and that makes me even happier. The main thing is not to stop and to keep moving forward.

- To whom do you dedicate today’s goal?

- I dedicate this goal to my wife and our fans - everyone who came to the stadium to support us today, as well as those who couldn't be there. We are very grateful for their support, especially during difficult moments. This goal is for people who mean a great deal to me personally and to our team.

- You asked to be substituted in the first half. What happened?

- As you might have seen, I fell a few times during the match, and at one point, someone stepped on my hand. Due to the intense pain, I realized I wouldn't be able to play at 100%, so I spoke to the coach and asked to be substituted. I believe this was the right decision, as I had to put the team's interests first. I underwent an examination after the match, but I don't have any specific details regarding the injury yet. I hope it’s nothing serious and that I’ll be able to return to full training soon.
