Joseph Jones: The happiest moment in football is signing a contract with Kryvbas

- How did you first get into football - who inspired you? Do you remember your first match or coach?

- I started playing football at the age of 5. My mother inspired me. Of course, I remember my first coach - he was a very famous and respected coach in my area - Yesid Mosquera.

- What position did you start playing in childhood?

- To be honest, I started as a striker. Then later the coaches saw in me good potential as a defensive player.

- What was your football childhood like in Panama?

- Very good. I wouldn't want to complain about anything. I gradually learned everything new while growing up. This is how my football journey began. I am happy that I managed to reach the professional level.

- Did you have any idols as a child?

- Yes, and that is one person – Lionel Messi. An incredible player, a real football star. His story inspires many players all over the world.

- How difficult was the path to the professional level for you?

- It was a time of hard work and many sacrificial decisions to be able to be where I am now. But I don’t regret anything. Football is my life.

- Tell the fans how you first learned about Kryvbas?

- When I realized that there was a chance to come here, I started looking for information about the team. This challenge seemed really cool to me. That is why I am happy to be a Kryvbas player. I want to progress in the club and help it fulfill its tasks.

- What were your first impressions of the team and the city?

- Very positive. I was told that this is a good team and a good city. When I first arrived in Kryvyi Rih, I was convinced of this. The city is very cozy, there are positive people around.

- How would you describe your playing style?

- Smart, cool-headed and competitive.

- Do you have a football dream?

- Yes, to play at the World Cup with your national team. I am sure that Panama will be able to show itself there with dignity.

- The happiest moment in football so far?

- This is the moment when I was selected for the Panama national team to participate in the U-20 World Cup, as well as signing a contract with Kryvbas - my first experience of playing abroad.
