Fran Fernandez: We lacked aggression in attack

Head coach of Lviv Karpaty Fran Fernandez commented on the away match of the 27th round of the UPL against Kryvyi Rih Kryvyi Rih Kryvyi Rih - 0:1.

- I would like to hear from you an analysis of this match and the first impressions after the match.

- The feeling is that we lost points, although we started the game very well. We had two or three scoring opportunities, many approaches to the opponent's penalty area. But we lacked, let's say, aggressiveness in the attack. The opponent had the first opportunity - and we immediately used it. And after that we tried to change the course of the game, but perhaps we made too hasty decisions. There were spaces that we could have used, and actually through which we could have created more danger.

- I would like to ask about the missed goal. This cross into the goal area and a mistake by two defenders in a fairly simple episode. In your opinion, why did this happen?

- I think the episode started at the wrong moment. We generally defended compactly. And in that situation, everything should have been more controlled.

- You had a lot of injuries right before the match this week. How much do you think these factors influenced the result?

- These are moments that are impossible to predict. Important players got injured. You have to think about whether the players on the bench can perform at such a level. But in order for them to show the appropriate level, you need to create more chances.

- In your opinion, what prevented Karabin from realizing his chance to really score?

- He had a lot of chances, but I think he did well overall.
