Irina Kozub: My career in Kryvyi Rih began with a speech for "Kryvbas -2"
Defender of Kryvyi Rih Women Kryvbas Irina Kozub answered questions from club journalists about the results of the season and goals for the future.
- Irino, I have your football journey long ago?
- I started playing with the boys in my school years. My first coach is Viktor Koland. He saw in me the prospect and then after a while I was noticed by other coaches. And, in fact, so I got into big football. The first female team I played was a futsal team Fortuna.
- What are your memories related to your first workouts and matches?
- I remember my first district football competitions, they were not even with girls. I was the only girl among a large number of guys in a football group. But despite this, I manifested myself well and was even more active than the guys (smiles).
?- Which of the players or players is your idol?
- Virjil van Dyk is sympathetic to me from men's football - a player of Liverpool's protective link. - I think the seventh place is a decent result and a good foundation in order to improve the results in the second half of the championship. We are set to fight further and show our best game.
- In a home match against Ladomyr in the last minutes you managed to score the debut ball in the highest league. Remember your emotions at that moment.
- Honestly, before the game, each of us somehow adjusts to the match and my first feeling that was before the game - a great desire to score a goal. Therefore, I confess, for me it was the biggest priority in this game. Perhaps Fortuna was by my side and all at that moment came together so that I could help my team goal. The feelings were just incredible. But if we managed to hold the victory then it would be my best match.

- Which match of the first stage did you remember the most?
- in fact, it is difficult to remember and highlight one, because all the matches were good. Probably, the game with Sistress was not bad and Obolon, of course, because it is our first victory in the season.
- against which team was the most difficult to play?
- I will be banal here. Probably it will be Vorskla. A strong and experienced opponent against which is always not easy.
- Remember how you were in 2023 in Kryvbas I-2. What are your memories from that career period?
- in 2023 she just returned from Georgia. I had a period when I played there. After returning to Ukraine, I was looking for a team for myself, although there was very little hope. However, it was a very spontaneous solution to come to Kryvbas to view the first team. Then I did not come, but the club decided that there would be Kryvbas -2 in the structure. And I became the foundation of this team. Actually, so began my path in Kryvbas i-2, with a captain's bandage.
- How do you see your football career in the future?
- Goals Aries, now to work fruitfully to develop in a professional way. Because I had a big enough pause in a football career. Therefore, it is necessary to train, improve and become stronger to reach football heights in the future.
- What is your biggest dream-related dream?
- First of all, you usually want the end of the war in our native Ukraine. Speaking of a football dream, I would like to get to the women's national team of Ukraine.
