Cyprian Kachwele: We created quite a few goal-scoring opportunities in the first half

Kiprian Kachwele, the Tanzanian forward for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, reflected on the UPL Matchday 11 home game against Dynamo Kyiv, which ended in a 0:2 defeat.

- How would you assess today’s match? Are you satisfied with the team’s performance, despite the final result?

- I think we played a good match. The team started well, performed effectively on the pitch, and made only one or two mistakes. We tried to control the ball and, whenever we lost possession, to win it back as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we conceded some avoidable goals.

- You managed to create quite a few scoring chances before the break. How well did the team execute the game plan?

- Overall, I am satisfied with our game plan. In the first half, we had plenty of opportunities to score. I believe the team executed the assigned tasks well.

- After the break, the opponent changed their tactical setup and became more compact defensively. How much did this complicate your efforts to find a way to the goal?

- Yes, after the break, the Kyiv side seemed to switch to a 5-3-1 formation and defended much more tightly around their own penalty area. This made it harder for us to find open spaces and create chances. That said, we still had opportunities to score, but we just couldn't find the back of the net.

- How difficult was it for the team psychologically after the opponent took a 2:0 lead before halftime?

- Naturally, that is a difficult situation. When you are trailing by two goals after the first half, staging a comeback is always difficult. It is a major challenge for the entire team. However, we are not giving up; we are moving forward and believe that in the next match, we can deliver a better performance and achieve a successful result.
