Cyprian Kachwele: I joined Kryvbas to change the situation for the better and to develop as a footballer

Cyprian Kachwele, the Tanzanian forward for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, gave his first interview since joining the new team.

- Welcome to Kryvbas! What are your first impressions of the club?

- I am very happy to be here. Kryvbas is a big club in Ukraine, so it is a great honor for me to join the team.

- Did you follow Kryvbas before your transfer?

- Of course, I watched their matches before the transfer. The team is going through a difficult period right now, so I came here to fight, help the club, and turn the situation around for the better. For me, this is a wonderful opportunity to develop as a footballer and advance my career.

- Have you had a chance to speak with any of your teammates who helped you settle in?

- I keep an eye on the players who play in my position, specifically Shaka Satchwell. When I arrived, he helped me adapt. Overall, everyone on the team has welcomed me well.

- Who is your main football idol?

- It’s Erling Haaland from Manchester City. I like his style of play, and I aspire to reach that same high professional level.

- At Kryvbas, you will be wearing the number 11. Why did you choose number 11?

- Number 11 is special to me. I’ve worn it since I was a child, back in my school team, so when I had the chance to choose a number at Kryvbas, I immediately went with eleven.

- What would you like to say to the Kryvbas fans?

- I am glad to be part of the team, and I hope that together we can achieve good results and make the club stronger.
