Kostiantyn Frolov: The season turned out to be very difficult for our young girls

Comments after the match of the 10th round of the second stage of the Vyshcha League of the Women's Championship of Ukraine 2025\2026 Women "Kryvbas" - Women "Pantery" (1:2).

Kostiantyn Frolov, head coach of Women "Kryvbas":

- A difficult match for us, for the girls. And the season as a whole is very difficult. We completed the task earlier, so somewhere, perhaps, we did not have enough emotions and strength for the result. Both in this game and the previous one with "Ladomyr". We currently have a very short bench, and we practically play with one squad. Therefore, the girls have accumulated fatigue. Plus, somewhere there is not enough emotions. Therefore, we lost this match, primarily due to the lack of emotions, passion. It is a pity, but we understand what led to this. The girls are going on vacation, and then we will gather and we need to work on strengthening the squad.

We will have a very difficult next season, so there is a lot of work. The next championship starts on July 18, so we are gathering on June 16. The vacation will not be long, but the girls will have time to rest, gain emotions and work. The season turned out to be very difficult for our young girls. We are counting on young people, who find it difficult to adapt to the conditions of the Higher League. We play against experienced female players of their age, so every round is not easy for us. But the girls are doing well.

Anna Stekolshchikova, midfielder of Women Kryvbas :

- First of all, I would like to note that we currently have very young girls, for whom it is difficult to play in this mode. Over the past two weeks, we have played four matches - it is very difficult. Therefore, of course, both the weather conditions and physical exertion made themselves felt today, so what we wanted was not fully realized.

Therefore, yes, it was a really difficult match. We accomplished the main task for the season - we retained our registration in the Vyshcha League. We also have a lot of players developing, playing for the national teams of Ukraine - U-15, U-17, U-19. For us, this is the most important indicator right now.
