Kostiantyn Frolov: The girls executed their game plan against a strong opponent

Comments after the match of the 1\4 finals of the Ukrainian Cup 2025\2026 Women "Kryvbas" - Women "Metalist 1925" (0:1).

Kostiantyn Frolov, head coach of Women "Kryvbas":

- We congratulate "Metalist 1925" on the victory and wish them success in the fight for the Cup. As for the game itself, the opponent had an advantage in class, controlled the ball more and had possession of the ball. We acted compactly, from the defense, trying to use our chances on counterattacks. The girls executed the game plan. We missed the ball from a set piece, but in general the team withstood the pace and load.

We are well aware that "Metalist 1925" is one of the strongest teams in the league, which is fighting for the championship. Our players will have a short break after the match, except for those who are going to the youth national teams, where they will represent our club on the European stage. After that, we will start preparing for the last game of the first round, again against Metalist 1925.

Anna Avramenko, midfielder of the Women Kryvbas:

- I think our team fought back very well against the opponent. We gave our all on the field, but unfortunately, we still lost to a more experienced team. Kryvbas showed a good and fighting game. We should have played much easier from the first minutes, more forward. Soloviova was a little unlucky, but we supported her. They learn from their mistakes. All the girls are great.
