Kostiantyn Frolov: We are very pleased with the quality of the game, dedication and teamwork

Comments after the match of the 9th round of the first stage of the Ukrainian Women's Championship 2025\2026 Women "Kryvbas" - Women "Shakhtar" (1:1).

Kostiantyn Frolov, head coach of Women "Kryvbas":

- The match turned out to be a battle. We are satisfied with how the girls worked on the football field - there was a struggle, intensity on our part. We understood that Shakhtar plays more experienced and skilled football players. However, we offered our pressure and pace of play. The first half was indicative for us - we completely dominated the field, controlled the game and created chances.

There was a little lack of implementation to translate this advantage into goals scored. In the second half, there was already an exchange of goals, and after the removal of our goalkeeper, we had to hold the score. Overall, the girls are doing well - we are very pleased with the quality of the game, dedication and teamwork. We are moving in the right direction.

Solovyova's removal? It's normal. We play with a high defense line, and such situations can happen. Ulyana is a young player who is just starting her journey in the Higher League. We are playing against experienced opponents, so there are certain difficulties. But we have good goalkeepers, and we are counting on them. We are forming a modern goalkeeper. Avramenko stood in goal, she has the necessary qualities for a goalkeeper: she reads the game perfectly, plays well with her hands, and most importantly - she is confident in herself.

Anastasiia Stakhniuk, midfielder of Women "Kryvbas":

- The game was very difficult. We seriously prepared for this match, talked a lot with the girls, and tuned up morally. The first half was fierce - a lot of struggle. In the second half, the struggle did not subside. In my opinion, it was in the first half that we created more scoring chances. My goal? I was 100 percent focused on the game, I felt confident. I already had a certain "trick" in the team - scoring from penalty spots. I noticed that the goalkeeper had opened her corner, and I decided to shoot there - it worked out, I scored a goal.
