Kostiantyn Frolov: A quick goal gave us confidence in our actions

Comments after the match of the 16th round of the first stage of the Higher League of the Women's Championship of Ukraine 2025\2026 Women "Ladomyr" - Women "Kryvbas" (0:1).

Kostiantyn Frolov, head coach of Women Kryvbas:

- The match turned out to be tense, combative, there was a lot of struggle on both sides. Both we and "Ladomyr" need points, so the game turned out to be uncompromising. The girls are great, they withstood the tension and responsibility - they won. A quick goal gave us confidence in our actions. We had more opportunities to score in the first half, but unfortunately we did not take advantage of them.

In general, the opponent put pressure on us, in the second half we were already playing for the score - it was important to maintain the winning result, which we did. The goal was to win, this is important for us. There are always mistakes and there will be, we will work on them. Ladomyr plays with one team, their football, they try to control the ball, fight, impose a fight. We expected such a game from them.

Polina Nazarenko, forward of Women Kryvbas:

- The match turned out to be difficult, but it's good that we won. As for the goal, I took the initiative, entered the penalty area, and scored into the far corner. I'm glad that my goal brought our team an important victory, the first official one in 2026.
