Kostiantyn Frolov: They won one score - very important to us

Comments after the match of the 1st round of the first stage of the Higher League of the Women's Championship of Ukraine 2025 \ 2026 Women Kryvbas - Women Kolos (1: 1). 

Kostiantyn Frolov, head coach Women Kryvbas:

- We have gained one score today - very important to us. It was predicted that there would be a very difficult game, because Kolos - a bronze medalist, a participant in the European Cups, a strong team that works very well with the ball. The players Kolos are high, but we opposed them at the expense of the organization, compactness and fighting qualities of our girls. I think the result of the game - moments were both near the gate of the opponent and near ours.

The result is natural, given that each team wanted to win this game. I never allocate players. Our young girls sometimes make mistakes in the game, but at the same time perform useful actions on the field. They play at their level and our task is to raise this level to grow and become strong players.

Liudmyla Pokotylo, head Coach Women Kolos:

- Is a very difficult first game. There were many unfulfilled moments in the first half, penalties, withdrawals - we remained in the minority, but still played and tried to create moments. We will work on the completion of attacks, on the implementation of moments. It happens that the team plays even better in the minority after removing the player. Was very hot, we played on an artificial field.

But the girls - young people, played, came out in attack, could be scored at the end, but unfortunately it didn't happen. In Kolos and also there are young girls who imposed their fight. It is easier to score goals when you have already distinguished yourself in the opponent's goal, and vice versa - you can score on counterattacks. You need to adjust to the game. The game was nervous and heavy. Have to just play and realize moments.

Svitlana Maliborska, goalkeeper Women Kryvbas:

- Emotions are crazy, the game was very difficult because the opponent is not easy. We all tried very hard to achieve this result. The second half was harder, because the girls were a little tired, so it became more difficult to play. There were mistakes, but in general, our girls are good: they set out as much as they could, and played until the end, until the last minutes. We tuned to a good game and to be able to overcome this opponent.

Anna Stekolshchikova, midfielder Women Kryvbas:

- As we can see, the game seemed very heavy. First - physically, because it is the first game in the season. It is always difficult to enter into such matches, but we fought to the end and showed our game. In principle, they got an acceptable result. Based on the fact that we had moments to score the second ball, the girls are a little upset. However it is youthful maximalism.

As for me, a very good result, because Kolos is a bronze medalist of the last championship. We knew how they would play, prepared for this duel, we had tactical classes, so they did not surprise us. We are getting ready - three very heavy games in front. It was the first step on the way to our goal.
