Kostiantyn Karamanits: Legend match "Kryvbas" and "Dnipro" - our first step before the development of veteran football

President of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Kostiantyn Karamanits spoke about a match of legends in Kryvyi Rih, according to which veterans Kryvbas were painted in the Dnipro - 4:4. Karamanits himself became the author of one of the goals, confidently realizing the penalty in the first half

- Kostiantyn Fedorovych, please tell us how important the events such as legend match are personally important to you? Is it about history, PR or something deeper?

- Organizing a legend match is the first impulse that we need to develop veteran football. We, together with the Dnipro Regional Football Federation and the Kryvyi Rih Association, organized this match and, I think, laid the basis on which we can build regular veteran competitions - championships, tournaments and more. This is necessary to increase interest in veterans. And if there is an interest in veterans - there will always be children's football, adult and our fans. I'm sure it will appreciate.

- You are on the field today, but tomorrow again in the office. What role is more difficult: player or president?

- Is a simpler role for me. Because on the field I am responsible for the smaller team - my team. And when you have a hundred people in order - this is a completely different responsibility.

- What personally means the phrase: Kryvbas is we?

- Is the same identity that we now defend in our country. Kryvbas is we are that we are this club, it's a city. We must love him, love the people who live here, and build the future together. So for me this phrase has a deep meaning.

- Where do you see the place of legends in modern football? Do you plan to continue to attract them to the club?

- Yes, be sure. We will already cooperate and continue to do it - not only with legends Kryvbas, but also with players from all over Ukraine. Unfortunately, we have few such people. But, I hope that over time, current children who train in our schools will become new legends - and there will be more and more. Legends have to combine and inspire us - they are an integral part of football development.

- Please estimate the start of the season for the main team Kryvbas. Are you satisfied with the team game?

- So I think it is not necessary to give evaluations now. When the team passes the first circle - then you can draw some conclusions. We are working now. I watch and I can say that from match to match the team becomes stronger, stronger, faster and faster. It inspires hope that we will be able to preserve the following results and in the future.
