"Kryvbas" - "Karpaty". Preview

Football is returning to Kryvyi Rih. This Saturday, Kryvbas will hold its first official match of the 2026/27 season. In the match of the 1st round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Patrick van Leeuwen's team will host Lviv's Karpaty at the home stadium "Hirnyk".

During the summer offseason, Kryvbas significantly updated its squad. A number of newcomers joined the team, who have already managed to prove themselves in test matches. Before the start of the championship, the red-whites completed the sparring program with a successful victory over "Livyi Bereh" - 5:3, and the coaching staff got the opportunity to assess the readiness of the players for official matches.

"Karpaty" also conducted an active summer transfer campaign and are approaching the new season with an updated squad and high ambitions. So fans can expect a confrontation between two teams that have changed significantly over the offseason and are looking to start the championship successfully.
