"Kryvbas" - "Lommel" 2:4
In the first test match at the summer training camp in the Netherlands, Kryvbas faced a newcomer to the Belgian elite division, SK Lommel.
First half
The match began in an even contest. Both teams actively pressed and tried to quickly switch from defense to attack, but without any sharp moments in the opening minutes.
The first dangerous episode occurred in the 9th minute. After the Belgians' attack, Rommens shot from an acute angle, but Kemkin confidently played at the near post and transferred the ball to a corner. The red-whites responded with a series of promising attacks. Later, after Herbert and Sek's shots, Lommel's defenders selflessly blocked the ball twice.
However, in the 18th minute, the nominal guests opened the score. After a cross from the left flank, Reiners accurately sent the ball into the far corner of the goal with a touch shot from the 11-meter mark - 0:1.
The missed goal did not put Kryvbas out of the game. Just two minutes later, Bekavac powerfully scored from a distance - the ball flew near the post. Gradually, Patrick van Leeuwen's team seized the initiative and began to control the ball more.
In the 25th minute, the Belgians conducted several quick and dangerous attacks, but the Kryvbas defense acted reliably. Kryvbas' efforts were nevertheless rewarded in the 34th minute. Seck made a wonderful pass from the right flank, and Mulyk won a horse fight with two defenders at once and with a spectacular header sent the ball into the very nine - 1:1.
At the end of the first half, the red and whites were closer to the second goal. First, Shevchenko made a dangerous pass, and then Sek created another sharp opportunity, but the Lommel defense managed to ward off the threat.
Second half
After the break, the opponent started the game more actively and quickly managed to take the lead again. In the 48th minute, Mo Salah received the ball near the penalty area and with a technical kick accurately sent it into the far corner of the goal - 1:2. Only four minutes passed before Lommel scored a third time. Reumers took advantage of the one-on-one situation and beat Kemkin - 1:3.
After two goals conceded, the red and whites gradually regained the initiative. From about the middle of the half, Patrick van Leeuwen's team looked a little more active than their opponent, controlled the ball more and tried to create chances near the Belgian goal.
However, in the 69th minute, Lommel scored again. Mo Salah struck from 15 meters, the leather shot after a ricochet from Borges's foot changed its trajectory and flew past our goalkeeper's collar - 1:4.
The coaching staff of Kryvbas actively used rotation, releasing many young players onto the field. In the 75th minute, this brought results. After a pass from a standard position, Williwald won a horse fight and dropped the ball under attack, and one of the potential newcomers sent it into the far corner of the post with a spectacular touch shot from 15 meters - 2:4.
In the final minutes of the match, the red and whites acted more actively, had more possession of the ball and looked for opportunities to reduce the gap, but they failed to change the score again. As a result, the first friendly match at the second summer training camp in the Netherlands ended with a victory for the Belgian SC Lommel – 4:2.
Kryvbas will hold its next friendly match next Saturday, July 11, when it will meet with another representative of Belgium – Zulte-Waregem.
