"Kryvbas" - SK "Lommel": July 7 at 19:00
The first opponent of Kryvbas at the second summer training camp in the Netherlands will be the Belgian SK Lommel. The club from the city of Lommel (province of Limburg) was founded in 1932. The team plays its home matches at the Sovereign Stadium, which can accommodate more than 8 thousand spectators.
SC Lommel is one of the most ambitious clubs in Belgium. Since 2020, it has been a member of the international football group City Football Group, which also includes the English Manchester City, the Spanish Girona, the French Troyes, the American New York City and a number of other clubs around the world.
In the history of the club - two victories in the second division of Belgium (1991\1992, 2000\2001), two titles of the third division champion, the Belgian League Cup (1997\1998), as well as the final of the Belgian Cup of the 2000\2001 season. After financial difficulties and a long absence among the strongest teams of the country, Lommel returned to the Belgian Pro League for the first time in 23 years at the end of the 2025\2026 season.
Last season, the team took fifth place in the Challenger Pro League (an analogue of our First League) and in the playoffs won a ticket to the elite division. The head coach is 45-year-old English specialist Lee Johnson, who was appointed to the position only in early July. The team's composition is quite international - many foreign players. These are players from Montenegro, Ghana, Finland, Togo, Spain, the Netherlands, and other countries. The team's value is 15.6 million euros; the average age is 24.2 years.
The sparring match with Kryvbas will be the first for the Belgians this offseason. While the Kryvrizh team has already managed to hold two friendly matches in Ukraine: Inhulets Petrove (a) - 1:2, Chornomorets Odesa (b) - 1:2.
