At the invitation of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the main squad of FC Kryvbas visited the rescue team. The "Red-and-Whites'" coaches and players learned about the specifics of the emergency responders' work, saw how they carry out complex tasks in practice, and gained insight into the daily service of those who save lives.
A comprehensive tour was organized for the Kryvbas representatives, allowing them to see firsthand just how complex, responsible, and physically demanding the work of a rescuer is.
The first part of the program involved a descent into a mine, where the footballers watched the emergency specialists work in conditions requiring specialized training, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The rescuers demonstrated the nuances of performing tasks in a challenging environment where every movement and decision is critical.
Next, the Kryvbas representatives were introduced to the *terenkur* - a specially designed route for physical conditioning and endurance training. Such exercises help rescuers build strength, coordination, and the ability to function under intense physical strain.
A separate part of the tour featured an obstacle course navigated by the emergency service personnel. The footballers watched as the rescuers tackled various challenges, demonstrating speed, endurance, agility, and the ability to work cohesively as a team. In this line of work, just as in football, success relies not only on individual preparation but also on discipline, focus, and teamwork.
Our team was particularly impressed by the practical demonstrations of rescue operations. Kryvbas players and coaches watched as State Emergency Service (SES) specialists extinguished fires using various methods and performed high-angle casualty evacuations. These hands-on demonstrations provided a deeper understanding of the nature of the rescuers' work - professionals who must be ready to face the toughest challenges every day.
The visit concluded on the football pitch, where rescuers play matches as part of a championship involving teams from the Main Directorate and various SES units. Here, the conversation turned to football, team spirit, and sports competition. Representatives from both sides discussed the possibility of organizing a joint football tournament in the future.
For FC Kryvbas, this meeting was an opportunity to gain insight into the work of rescuers, observe their training, and pay tribute to the people who safeguard the lives and safety of Ukrainians every day.
FC Kryvbas extends its gratitude to the SES representatives for the invitation, their hospitality, the informative tour, and the chance to see the rescuers' work firsthand.
