"Kryvbas" - "Polissya" 3:1

"Kryvbas" played the last match of the first round of the UPL. In the 15th round, our team hosted Polissya, one of the competitors for the highest places. Yuriy Vernydub made one change in the line-up compared to the match against Obolon: Mykytyshyn went to the left in the midfield instead of Po.

First half 

The start of the game was left to the opponent. Already in the first minute, Makhankov had to work hard to cope with two consecutive shots from the edge of the penalty area. It was especially sharp after Lednev's shot, but our goalkeeper managed to compose himself and hit the ball with his feet. Immediately after the corner, they did not track Wendell, who headed close - fortunately, above the goal.

Subsequently, "Kryvbas" began to carry out its dangerous attacks. In the 11th minute, Bandeira threw a throw-in far, Tverdohlib picked up the ball after a pass from Sosa, and immediately scored - it ricocheted and the ball ended up in the goal - 1:0! The people of Zhytomyr tried to seize the initiative, but the hosts did not allow it. Moreover, in the 25th minute, "Kryvbas" miraculously did not score a second goal.

Sosa hit Volynets from seven meters after a cross, and Kuzyk finished from an awkward position, but the opponent's goalkeeper managed to react - only a corner. "Polyssia" responded only with Lednev's attempt to score with a direct kick from the corner - the ball hit the net from the outside. The end of the half was spent in mutual attacks. We even scored a second time, but the goal on the finish by the talented Shevchenko was disallowed due to offside.

Second half

The beginning of the second half took place in the visitors' half of the field. However, the guests later leveled the game and managed to score for the first time in the match in the 61st minute. A pass into the penalty area, the ball bounced to Hutsuliak, who accurately shot into the near corner - 1:1. The Kryvyi Rih team did not stop, but were able to score again right away. Mykytyshyn was brought out tête-à-tête with the goalkeeper, and when he had already beaten him, he hit the defender, who managed to turn around.

The high tempo of the game did not drop for a single minute. In the 73rd minute, a counterattack took place: a long diagonal across the field from Bizimana, a pass into the penalty area by Mykytyshyn, from where Tverdokhlib powerfully punched a touch under the crossbar - 2:1! Fast football continued, both teams were constantly moving forward. After the corner we managed to develop success. Tverdohlib scored a hat-trick, knocking the ball into the goal after Bandeira's pass - 3:1! With victory, Kryvyi Rih!
