"Kryvbas" - "Poltava" 2:2

In the 11th round of the UPL, Kryvbas hosted the debutant of the competition - Poltava. This was the first match between the rivals in the history of their confrontations. As for the starting lineup, we note the departure of Bekavac from the left in defense from the first minutes; Dibango this time remained on the bench.

First half

The debut of the meeting was left to the guests. Already in the 1st minute, Galenkov hit the crossbar from a good position. Immediately, Kemkin helped out after a long shot by the ex-defender of the red and whites Kotsiumaka - corner. A pass from a corner - Marusych's shot - again the crossbar. The attack at the second pace - and Veremienko hit the far corner - 0:1.

Kryvbas seized the initiative and conducted several sharp attacks. An inaccurate but promising shot by Bekavats, two dangerous free kicks in a row from Mendoza, when the ball just missed the goal area. Kryvyi Rih pressed, but Poltava fought back.

On the other hand, the guests also made several attacks, but our defense acted reliably. And yet the advantage of the red and whites made itself felt in the 42nd minute. Mendoza shot from the left – Bar Lin shot the goal – 1:1! It seemed that now Kryvbas would press and score a second goal before the break. But unfortunately, they missed for the second time. After a corner, Plakhtyr managed an incredibly accurate header from an acute angle – 1:2.

Second half

The break went in our favor. Already in the 50th minute, the hosts equalized the score. Vilivald earned a penalty, and Tverdokhlib confidently converted it - 2:2. Poltava responded with a Doroshenko moment, fortunately, Kemkin was insured by Vilivald at the last turn.

Kryvbas closed the opponent in his half of the field, but he continued to desperately fight back. After a corner, Vilivald jumped higher than the goalkeeper, but the ball flew over the goal. Paraco, after another uncertain game by the goalkeeper, shot into an empty net on the way out, but it was too weak - the defenders fought back. Later, the same Vilivald won the second floor after another pass - next to the post.

Our team was ahead until the last minute, and had every chance to snatch victory, but the score did not change anymore. Draw - 2:2.
