"Kryvbas" - "Veres" 2:2

In the 13th round of the UPL, Kryvbas hosted Veres. This was the first match for both teams after a two-week break in the championship, due to international matches between the national teams. As for the interesting facts about the starting lineup: Bekavac came out as a central midfielder instead of the suspended Tverdokhlib.

First half

The debut of the game was left to Kryvyi Rih, who managed to score a quick goal. Bekavac from the wing made a high pass into the penalty area, from where he hit Zaderaka with a touch past the goalkeeper - 1:0! Later, the hosts' initial pressure almost brought them a result again. Mendoza was brought out one-on-one with Goroh - the goalkeeper miraculously got the ball from the far corner.

Instead, Veres sat out in defense and created their own moment. Makhankov twice in a row beat the ball after sharp blows from Taranuha. The middle of the half was an even fight. The guests wasted the half-time: Aydin shot after a solo pass – fortunately, inaccurately.

But the Kryvyi Rih team scored. Mendoza made a great pass from the corner of the field – Konate got ahead of the goalkeeper and scored his debut goal for the red and white team – 2:0.

Second half

The second half was already behind the guests. Smeyan threw the ball behind our defenders, Sharai went one-on-one with Makhankov and easily crossed it – 2:1. The goal scored gave the opponent confidence, and our team had extremely difficult chances. Wesley missed the near corner from a good position.

The game went on in reverse, but almost without sharp episodes. In the 80th minute, the defensive zone missed Sharay's shot from mid-range – Makhankov could not cope with a powerful shot into the near corner – 2:2. “Kryvbas” went forward with hopes of correcting the situation and snatching victory.

But, unfortunately, all the hopes of “Kryvbas” were destroyed, the defense of “Veres” no longer allowed mistakes. A fighting draw – 2:2.
