Maksym Zaderaka: I am the kind of person who doesn't believe in talent, but only in hard work

After the #NAKAVU meeting with fans at the RLS gas station, Kryvbas midfielder Maksym Zaderaka spoke to reporters.

- Maksym, how long have you been playing football and when was the moment when you felt real growth in your sports career?

- I have been playing football since childhood, from about 6 years old, and I believe that real career growth began after signing a contract - at 16 years old.

- Which of the team's last matches do you remember the most?

- I think the last match with FC Dynamo Kyiv, let's follow in their "hot footsteps", so to speak. Although we lost 5:6, the score was historic, so in terms of emotions - this is probably the most vivid match in my life.

- What motivates you the most not to give up - even when it's very difficult?

- Now that I'm 31, my family motivates me the most, especially my children, because they constantly give me encouragement and energy to move forward.

- By the way, football is an opportunity to do a romantic act. Have you dedicated your goals to your beloved?

- Yes, of course, it was probably banal, but it was important for me: I scored a goal and ran to the camera, showing her my heart with my hands.

- Do you think success plays a role in victory or is it exclusively the result of hard work?

- I am the kind of person who does not believe in talent, but only in crazy work. Therefore, it is "crazy work" that brings its results, such as victory or other achievements.

- Share how you feel the support of the fans during matches, maybe there is a special case that you remember?

- Every match is individual and special, and when we play at home we have simply fantastic support. I will probably remember how before the game with Dynamo Kyiv Ultras of our team lit a firecracker and they generally “warmed up” the atmosphere a lot.

- Maxim, what would you like to tell yourself now as a child?

- Maksym, you have to work. Work hard and everything will be fine with you.

- If it weren’t for football, what kind of sport would you choose?

- Lately I really like playing padel. Probably, this direction is developing rapidly in Ukraine now. This game is very dynamic and intense and I get great pleasure and various sensations. Therefore, I would probably choose padel in this case.
