Kryvyi Rih Kryvyi Rih Kryvyi Rih striker Matvii Bodnar - about the friendly match against Belgian Zulte-Waregem (1:2) at the second summer training camp in the Netherlands.
- Please comment on today's friendly match. How did it turn out?
- I really liked the match. First of all, I'm happy for the guys and their dedication. The team worked 100 percent. The match was not easy, but I think it's matches like this that give young players invaluable experience.
- Do you feel that the physical exertion of the summer training camp affects the game?
- Absolutely. At the beginning of the training camp, it was very difficult for everyone because of the heavy workload. Now it's clear that the team has gained the necessary condition. The guys are ready to give their all, and this is noticeable on the field. Everyone has improved their physical fitness.
- What do you think needs to be improved before the next friendly match?
- First of all, we need to improve in defense. But this does not only apply to defenders. Defense starts with attack: the work of the entire team without the ball depends on how the attackers press. This is what we need to work on.
- What are the main conclusions you have drawn after two friendly matches?
- I am not a coach, so I can only speak for myself. For me, the main conclusion is that we need to constantly progress, work to the maximum and help the team both in attack and defense.
- What did the team say after the final whistle? More satisfaction from the game or disappointment with the result?
- Of course, there is a feeling that we could have won. This is a disappointing defeat, because, in my opinion, we looked better than our opponent. But such matches are also an important part of preparing for the season and give us an understanding of what we need to work on next.
