Matvii Bodnar goes to the location of the Ukrainian U-18 national team

Forward of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" U-19, a graduate of the Football Academy "Kryvbas" Matvii Bodnar received his second call-up to the Ukrainian U-18 national team.

The 18-year-old forward will take part in the national team's training camp, which will be held from May 31 to June 10 in Croatia. During the training camp, the blue-and-yellows plan to hold several friendly matches.

As a reminder, Matvii made his debut for the Ukrainian youth national team (U-18\19) in March 2026 and immediately scored a goal. The blue-yellows lost to Finland U-19 in the first round of qualifying for Euro 2027 – 1:2 (Bodnar started and played 68 minutes), Czech Republic U-19 – 1:3 (appeared as a substitute in the 86th minute) and beat Estonia U-19 – 4:0 (debut goal in the 28th and only 64th minute). The Ukrainian U-18\19 national team finished third and will continue the fight for a place in the Euro in Division A.

In the 2025\2026 season, Bodnar played 23 matches for Kryvbas U-19, scoring 8 goals; for the main team of Kryvbas in the UPL - 4 matches. Debut in the elite of Ukrainian football - February 21, 2026 in the away game of the 17th round against Metalist 1925 (0:0) - 13 minutes on the field.
