New Year's magic: a holiday for children from "Kryvbas"

New Year is about goodness and hope. That is why FC Kryvbas decided not to wait for a calendar holiday and went to visit the children at the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation No. 1 - with gifts and a good mood.

"It was an incredibly beautiful day. We visited an institution for children who were left without parents. For me, it is both difficult and extremely important, because children in such difficult circumstances often do not even fully understand what is happening around them. When they saw us and received gifts and soccer balls, their smiles, sincerity and joy were truly priceless. The opportunity to cheer up these children for even a moment warms my soul," commented FC Kryvbas defender Jan Jurcec.

The meeting took place in one breath: the football players and the children did a movement together, played, laughed, and ate sweets. There were many autographs, selfies and just sincere hugs.

“We are very pleased with this meeting. Thank you to FC Kryvbas for a real holiday for children. Our pupils asked the guests adult questions, whether football interfered with their studies, whether the players have their own families and children. That is, they were very interested in talking with professional football players. Everything took place in a warm atmosphere,” shared the representative of the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children Liudmila Guseva.

For Kryvbas, such trips are not a formality, but a tradition. The club’s philosophy is simple: to be close to those who are having a hard time, to inspire and show that dreams come true.

“The children asked very interesting questions, which we were happy to answer and share our experience. It’s nice that I was able to make the children a little happier, and it makes me happy. Despite some difficult circumstances in their lives, you can achieve anything through desire and believing in your dream until the end,” commented Kryvbas U-19 midfielder Marchin Lilichenko.

Moments like these remind us all that even a small meeting can become a great memory for a child for a lifetime. And the upcoming holidays are the best time to share warmth.
