Oleh Chaika: There are many challenges ahead, but at the same time many opportunities for development

Kryvyi Rih Football Academy "Kryvbas" has returned to work after the summer holidays. The teams have begun preparations for the new season, and with it a new stage in the development of the club academy is starting. Oleh Chaika, the director of the Football Academy "Kryvbas", spoke about the goals for the season, personnel changes, new accents in the training of students and the main priorities of the Academy.

- The Academy is officially starting a new season. With what mood do you enter it?

- We are starting the new season with a positive mood and a great desire to work. There are many challenges ahead, but at the same time many opportunities for development. We believe in our students, trust the coaching staff and are convinced that with joint efforts we will be able to achieve the goals set.

- What are the main tasks facing the Academy at the start of the season?

- Our main task is to educate progressive football players who will later join the youth team, and in the future - the main squad of "Kryvbas". This is what the Academy is working for. If the students take the next step in their careers within the club system, it will mean that we are moving in the right direction.

- What will be the main emphasis in the training of young football players?

- With the arrival of a new senior coach, we plan to pay special attention to technical and tactical training. We strive to develop the technique, speed, coordination and football thinking of our students even better. It is important that the players of the younger age groups are as ready as possible for the transition to academy football and quickly adapt to the new requirements.

- What changes have taken place in the Academy before the start of the new season?

- Before the start of the season, we made some personnel changes. Kostiantyn Viktorovich Frolov took the position of senior coach of the academy. The coaching staff was also updated. We are counting on local specialists who strive to develop together with the Academy, have a desire to work and are ready to invest their knowledge in the development of our students.

- What results would you like to achieve in the new season?

- The most important thing for us is for the teams to progress from match to match and demonstrate high-quality, modern football. This is the kind of game that brings victories. At the same time, we also have a strategic goal - to return to the Pro League and take another step forward in the development of the Academy.

- What would you like to wish the players and their parents before the start of the season?

- First of all, I want to wish all our players a successful season, new victories and, most importantly, good health. May this year pass without injuries, because this is the most valuable thing for every athlete. I sincerely thank the parents for their support, trust and patience. Only together - the club, coaches and families of our football players - will we be able to create all the conditions for the development of children and make this season successful.
