Oleksandr Drambaev: My love for football was passed on to me from my older brother

For your attention, a part of the exclusive material from the official match program for the game of the 1st round of the UPL "Kryvbas" - "Chornomorets", when the defender of the red and white Oleksandr Drambaev answered our questions.

- Oleksandr, you are a pupil of Zaporizhia football. How did you start playing football? Did you like other sports as a child?

- I have a large family, in which both father and mother worked, so due to family circumstances, for a certain period of my life I lived in the village with my older cousin, who was involved in football. Of course, I repeated everything after him. Eventually, his love for football was passed on to me. When I returned to Zaporozhye, my mother wanted to take me swimming, and I agreed. She bought me everything I needed for this sport, but the next day I changed my mind. Of course, mom was not very pleased, because she spent money on all these tools.

Soon we passed by the Zaporizhia school "Torpedo" and saw the training room through a small gap. Then the coach noticed me and offered to come to training and try my hand at it. My mother gave free rein to my wishes and I went there. It all started with this.

- Who is your first coach? To whom do you owe the fact that you are now performing at a professional level?

- Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of my first coach, I was about 5-6 years old when he saw me and I started training with him. But I remember that after every training session, he called me to him and taught me. I even have his notebook of football tips. When I moved to Metalurg FC, Ivan Oleksandrovich Bogatyr became my coach, he gave me a lot in terms of football. He left me in the first group from the first day, for which I owe him a lot.

- Now you have a new stage in the career of "Kryvbas". What did you know about our Club before the transition?

- I knew that the Club has a great history, ambitions, and a strong coach. The most important thing is that I have a full-fledged contract here, and I am very happy with this stability, that the rental period is over, because it was not easy. In addition, I wanted to return to Ukraine, because I had not been home for 2,5 years. I confess, when I set foot on Ukrainian soil, I had tears in my eyes. I did not drive fast, 60 km/h, to enjoy every blade of grass, air, trees. It felt like it was all mine, my family.
