Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas midfielder Oleksandr Kamenskyi shared his thoughts on the away win in the match of the 2nd round of the UPL against Luhansk Zorya - 3:1, as well as his personal goals for the season.
- What are your thoughts after the game against Zorya?
- The match started out difficult for us. It took us 20 minutes to figure out what was going on, get into a rhythm and impose our football on the opponent.
- What problems did the opponent create for you?
- The difficulty was that Zorya played long balls behind the back, played a lot through the flanks and tried to stretch our defense.
- Was the own goal a mistake or was it just an unfortunate coincidence?
- I believe that the own goal was due to our lack of communication. Thiago and Mpanza didn't really understand each other in that episode, which is why the unnecessary goal came out.
- You went into the break trailing in the score. What adjustments did Patrick van Leeuwen make to the team's game?
- We were instructed to press the defenders more to make it harder for them to play, and to deliver the ball to the penalty area faster.
- How do you assess your game in the match?
- Frankly speaking, not everything worked out for me today. There was a lack of passes, there was not always enough quality and accuracy. But the most important thing is that the team won, and this is always more important than personal play.
- Patrick van Leeuwen celebrated his birthday the day before. If it's not a secret, what did you give your coach?
- We got together with the guys and gave him shoes - sneakers from the On brand, and later a victory.
- Finally, tell us about your personal goals for this season?
- I want to be useful to the team in all aspects of the game: to score more and provide more assists. I also want to progress and get the opportunity to represent Ukraine again. I have already played for the U-19 national team, but now I will not be able to play for this team. I hope that in the future I will have the opportunity to play for the U-21.
