Goalkeeper of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Oleksandr Kemkin spoke about the difficult period of recovery after the injury and plans for the future.
- How would you assess the first half of the Kryvbas season for yourself - what did the team do best?
- I think we had a good period. The best thing we did was to rebuild in the summer after the team was renewed. We accepted the requirements of the new coaching staff well; this is probably the most important thing we managed to do.
- How was this period of the season for you personally before the injury?
- In my opinion, it was a good period for me. Of course, you always want better, but I still had a pretty good time during this period.
- Do you feel the growing competition among goalkeepers and how has it affected your progress?
- Ukraine has always had a good goalkeeping school and quality goalkeepers. But it doesn't affect me at all, because I only look at myself. I don't need to look at others to improve. I try to get better every day.
- Which match of the first half of the season was the most memorable and why?
- Probably the match against Zorya, in which we won 3:2. Because I had to do a lot of work in that match. And the team played very well in general, there were a lot of emotions. Probably, that's why this match was the most memorable.
- How difficult was it to watch the games from the sidelines during the recovery?
- Of course, it's always difficult when you're out of the game. It wasn't easy for me to watch the matches from the stands, but this is football life - it's normal, and you have to go through it.
- With what thoughts and goals do you plan to return to the field in the second half of the season?
- I plan to return better than I was before the injury. Football has a very short memory, so you have to prove your worth every day.
