The head coach of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Patrick van Leeuwen commented on the victory in the match of the 18th round of the UPL over Luhansk Zorya - 3:1.
- What do you see as the results of the match on the hot tracks?
- We had plans to start the game well. But unfortunately we conceded a quick goal. The guys tried to get back into the game as quickly as possible and we created a few good chances to score. So I am happy that we recovered very quickly.
- Kryvbas' quick response was Bar Lin's goal. Did that play a key role in the final result?
- Of course. After that we scored a few more good goals. We could have done it earlier if we had been more efficient in passing. Well, the second half was more on the opponent's side. We lost a little energy due to the away games and hard work in the first half, but I think we played very well in defense after the break. Many of the opponent's chances were neutralized due to offsides.
- Young Kamenskyi came in the starting lineup instead of Shevchenko. How would you rate Oleksandr's performance?
- Alex played in this position, let's say, in an official match for the first time. He played there several times in training and showed us our capabilities with him in this position. So I'm happy with how he performed today.
- Today, Panamanian Giovany made his debut for our team. How about his performance?
- There is always room for improvement. He also did some good things thanks to his hard work for the team. Some of his passes were successful, so overall it was a good debut for him. Giovany was with us last week before our first game against Metalist 1925, but then he was not yet declared, so we couldn't release him. He trained well all week, so as soon as the application process went through, we gave him a chance to play. After Mendoza's injury, it was the right decision to put him in this position and give him some minutes in the UPL.
