Patrick van Leeuwen: It was felt that all our boys - both on the field and on the bench fought to the end

Head coach of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas Patrick van Leeuwen commented on a visiting victory over Luhansk Zorya - 3:2 in 3 rounds of UPL at a press conference.

- We have started very well today's game. As planned, they were able to create their own moments - they realized gears, fast transitions, and this gave the result. In the first half, we scored two goals, but we had the opportunity to score both the third and the fourth. Instead, they started losing the initiative and Zorya used it.

Pressure on our left flank was especially felt at the end of the first half of the game. After the break, they tried to remedy the situation, including acting less in defense. It was possible to score the third goal: thanks to the classroom pass from Shevchenko, the Deraka made a fantastic take of the gate.

However, we missed the ball very quickly - it added tension. Both teams began to play with even more return. It was felt that all our boys - both on the field and on the bench fought to the end. That is why I think the victory was deserved today.

- In the last two rounds you played against your excommands. These were for you fundamental confrontation?

- As for rivals - for me all clubs in UPL level. I do not share them by some emotional principles. The team and I are trying to teach in every match, no matter who before us. Even before the war, I cooperated with some of these clubs at academies, but now only one is important to me - the result.

- Your plan for the game has worked as a whole?

- Our plan for the game was to press on the opponent and create moments at his gate. And it worked. Yes, there are aspects that need to be improved, but most of what we worked in training, the team has completed. We now have a lot of material to analyze - and it's very valuable.

Still in the process. Kryvbas is a young team that seeks to integrate their ideas into the Ukrainian Championship. We are constantly improving and looking for players who can strengthen our warehouse. Considering the team youth, we must be very careful in making reinforcement decisions.
