Patrick van Leeuwen: I know clearly how I will work with "Kryvbas"

- Patrick, fans are always very interesting to contemplate the emotions of the coach. When are you in the game, is it possible to control your emotions?

- It is not easy, because you have specific expectations and requirements of players. Sometimes boys immediately show the desired level, but there are also difficulties - when you try to help them, first explanation. In some cases, especially when the situation on the field is tense, it is difficult to contain emotions and you involuntarily react more emotionally.

- Compare coach's emotions during the training process and the game?

- Emotions are really different. During training, you, as a coach, control the preparation process, set the specific goals to which the team leads. On the match day the situation is different - much depends on the opponent and what game they show.

As a coach, you try to prepare your team for all possible situations on the field - both in the game with or without a ball. Therefore, it is on the day of the match that emotions are more difficult to control: the opponent can act unpredictably. Instead in training you keep everything under control and it gives more rest.

- Name the top 3 in your opinion the most emotional coaches in world football.

- Mr. Mourinho, who demonstrated many emotions in recent seasons in Turkey. In some moments, he was absolutely right, in some - not at all, but his emotions have always been aimed at causing the players' reaction.

I can also highlight the Guardiol Pep. He also manifested himself very emotionally in recent seasons, especially when his team performed less successfully than in the previous one. This was the cause of his various emotional reactions.

I believe that you can put any coach on the third step. After all, we can all sometimes be able to bend the stick in emotionality, especially during important matches. Unlike official games, in friendly matches, emotions are easier to control. In general, you always try to protect your team and your tactical solutions.

- You have been working in Kryvbas  for more than a month. Estimate the first stage of work for you and your team. 

- As for me, we trained in Kryvyi Rih before the summer camp for a week. During this time, I have already met the first team players. I also got acquainted with the infrastructure of the club - base, training fields. Everything is wonderful.

After that we went to Slovenia for a summer camp for three weeks. It was an important period because we had the opportunity to see players in new conditions, as well as to evaluate the newcomers who joined us during the football summer camp. After returning, I clearly understand how I will work with my team and with the club Kryvbas in general.
