Five players from Kryvyi Rih’s Kryvbas spent the busy international break with their respective national teams. The players made their mark across Asia, Europe, and Africa, recording goals, assists, and decisive penalties.
Volodymyr Vilivald (Ukraine U-21)
The defender and captain of the "Red-and-Whites" took part in two friendly matches for the Ukraine U-21 national team:
Ukraine U-21 vs. Turkey U-21 (2:2): Volodymyr came onto the pitch in the 75th minute and helped the "Blue-and-Yellows" secure a draw.
Ukraine U-21 vs. Albania U-21 (2:2): Vilivald played the full match (90 minutes) and provided an assist in the 56th minute. Despite playing a man down and suffering the heartbreak of losing the win in the final minute, the Kryvyi Rih player delivered one of the standout performances of the match.
Giovani Herbert and Joseph Jones (Panama)
The Kryvbas players traveled to Japan to participate in the Kirin Cup tournament:
New Zealand vs. Panama (1:1, 5:3 on penalties): In the semi-final, Giovani started the match and scored a crucial goal in first-half stoppage time, leveling the score. The midfielder played for 56 minutes.
Ecuador vs. Panama (1:1, 7:8 on penalties): In the match for third place, Herbert came on as a substitute in the 76th minute. During an exceptionally long and dramatic penalty shootout, he coolly converted his team's penultimate spot-kick, helping Panama secure the tournament's bronze medals.
Defender Joseph Jones, who received his first call-up to the national team, remained on the bench for both matches, gaining valuable experience within the senior squad's camp.
Cyprian Kachwele (Tanzania)
The Kryvbas forward put in a productive performance during the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers:
Tanzania vs. Madagascar (1:1): Kachwele started the match and opened the scoring in the 39th minute. The forward played 69 minutes, and the game ended in a hard-fought draw. In the first-round match against Guinea-Bissau (0:2), our forward remained on the bench.
Roy Nawi (Israel U-21)
The "Red-and-Whites'" midfielder helped his national team secure an important away victory in the qualifiers for the 2027 U-21 European Championship:
Slovenia U-21 vs. Israel U-21 (2:3): Roy Nawi entered the game immediately after the break, coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute; he performed reliably throughout the second half, helping the team secure the win.
Norway U-21 vs. Israel U-21 (1:1): The "Red-and-Whites'" defensive midfielder came onto the pitch as a substitute in the 80th minute.
The players are returning to Kryvbas and beginning preparations for their upcoming Ukrainian league matches.
