Roman Debelko: Even after the sending-off, we didn't stop and kept fighting for the win

Post-match comments following the Matchday 6 game of the 2026/2027 UPL-2 youth championship between Kryvbas U-21 and Kharkiv U-21 (final score: 4–6).

Roman Debelko, FC Kryvbas U-21 Coach:

- Today, we played a match where, despite trailing 1–3 at one point, we managed to find the strength to level the score and turn the tide of the game. I believe we were in complete control during the opening minutes of the second half. Unfortunately, however, certain refereeing decisions played a pivotal role: we had a player sent off, and regarding the fourth goal we conceded - after reviewing the video replay - it was clear the opposing player had handled the ball.

After the sending-off, we were a man down and trailing 3-4, yet we didn't give up and managed to score our fourth goal anyway. The lads showed no fear and pushed forward, trying to win the match. That is why I am thoroughly pleased with my players' attitude and commitment.

Yevhen Maiakov, FC Kryvbas U-21 Defender:

- I think we played well. After the break, trailing 1–3, we quickly scored two goals and got back into the game. Yes, the red card hindered us a bit, but overall, the team put in a solid performance. I want to thank all the guys for their dedication. I believe individual errors affected the result—sometimes someone didn't track back in time, or we failed to convert our chances.

Scoring four goals is a good sign for our attack, but we need to improve significantly in defense, as we are conceding too many goals. Overall, it was a real battle of a match. Both teams pushed forward and played at a high pace. I want to thank my teammates for this game; we’ll draw our conclusions and move forward. As for my goal, I want to dedicate it to my mom - she always supports me and inspires me to keep pushing forward.
