Former striker of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas", 32-year-old Roman Debelko is starting a new stage in the club - now as a mentor of the youth team. Roman Mykolayovych has been appointed senior youth coach.
Roman Debelko was born on August 8, 1993 in the village of Sopov, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Alumni: Youth Sports School "Prykarpattya" Ivano-Frankivsk (until 2009), FSM "Metalurh" Donetsk (2009-2010).
In the past, the specialist was one of the leaders of the red-white team on the football field. As part of "Kryvbas", the striker spent a bright period of his career and made a significant contribution to winning the historic bronze medals of the UPL season 2023\2024.
After completing his professional football career in 2025, Debelko began his coaching career in the structure of the Kryvbas Academy, where he worked with the U-17 team. Now he faces a new responsible challenge - working with the club's youth team.
Behind the shoulders of the new coach are many years of experience in performing at a professional level in Ukraine and abroad, as well as matches as part of the youth national teams of Ukraine.
Debelko spent three seasons for Kryvbas: 53 matches, 11 goals, 2 assists. Thanks to his double, the Kryvrizh team won its first victory after returning to the UPL. Together with our club, the ex-striker also became the silver medalist of the First League of the 2021\22 season. He defended the colors of the following clubs: Stal Kamianske, Riga Latvia, Karpaty Lviv, Levadia Estonia, and others.
The team staff also includes 41-year-old Yurii Shturko and 48-year-old Yurii Mukan, who will work as assistants to the senior coach. Both specialists have worked in the Kryvbas Academy system and are well aware of the potential of the club's young players.
We wish Roman Debelko and his coaching staff successful work, professional development, bright victories and new pupils for the Kryvbas main team.
