Post-match comments following the UPL-2 2026/2027 youth league Round 8 match between Obolon U-21 and Kryvbas U-21 (4:0).
Roman Debelko, FC Kryvbas U-21 Coach:
- I believe it was our individual errors that led to us trailing 0:2 as early as the first half. As for the sending-off, it negatively impacted the team's performance, as playing a man down is always much harder. At halftime, we asked the lads to exploit the space behind the opponent's defensive line, but unfortunately, we failed to capitalize on that.
The players gave their all on the pitch. I certainly can't say they didn't fight or that we gave up, but things are genuinely tough for us right now. Of course, every defeat is hard, as we go into every match aiming solely for a win. We need to accept this with dignity and analyze the situation correctly. We have training tomorrow, and then we’ll think it over - we might give the lads a day off so they can recover both mentally and physically.
Ivan Tymoshenko, FC Kryvbas U-21 Defender:
- In my opinion, we lacked clinical finishing. Furthermore, conceding a goal right before halftime was a massive blow to the team's morale. Naturally, it was very disappointing to let in a goal like that. I also think we lacked aggression in the final phase of our attacks. We need to maintain the right mindset, draw the proper conclusions, and move forward. We need to further refine our team coordination and defensive play.
