Roman Debelko: Over the past six months, Kryvbas U-14 has made progress, and this is the most important thing

The head coach of Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas U-14 Roman Debelko summed up the first part of the 2025\2026 National League of the Future season.

- How do you assess the team's progress in the first half of the season?

- Of course, there are positive moments - I see how the team is progressing. If you look at the result, we are a little behind in this regard. However, in general, there is definitely progress.

- Are there any players who pleasantly surprised you with their attitude, character and progress?

- Yes, there are such players. The fact that most of these guys are from Kryvyi Rih, local. I like their attitude, desire to win and work in training. With such an approach, both progress and results will definitely come.

- What matches or moments do you consider the most successful?

- If you do not take into account the result, I really liked the match with Karpaty. I liked the desire and attitude of the guys, and the fact that they fought primarily for the Club emblem, and not each for himself.

- What defeats or problematic moments gave the team the most lessons?

- At the beginning of my journey with the team, I noticed that each player thinks more about himself than about the team. My task was to unite everyone and make the team come first. After all, strength is in unity, only together we are strong.

- What is the best indicator of the team's success for you, as a senior coach?

- First of all, it is important for me that the player develops. The key are discipline, self-belief, respect and honesty. These are the principles I try to instill in my players, because I believe that they will be useful not only in football, but also in life in general. We develop not only football players, but also personalities.

- The autumn part of the PRO League has ended. What tasks do you set for the team during the winter break of the championship?

- First of all, so that the players can rest mentally and physically and start the second part of the championship with new strength.
