#RPCUP 2024: the second charity mini-football championship was held in memory of the fallen fans

On June 2, the second charity mini-football championship, #РPCUP2024, was held on the basis of the "Kryvbas" Football Academy, in memory of the fans who gave their lives in the fight for the independence of Ukraine against the Russian occupiers. The competition is already becoming traditional, because it is being held by the Kryvbas Football Club for the second year in a row.

And for the second year in a row, the number of participants who made charitable contributions to the collection bank reached 20 teams. All of them competed for victory in 5 groups in the format of two halves of 10 minutes each, six on six. The tournament began with the national anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence in memory of those who died as a result of Russian aggression.

After that, the competition was opened by the vice-presidents of FC "Kryvbas" Artem Gagarin and Serhii Mazur, adviser to the president of the Club Hennadiy Prykhodko, as well as the midfielder of "Kryvbas" U-19 Stanislav Migutskyi, who thanked everyone for their participation and noted the importance of holding such events in this difficult time for Ukraine .

"Officially, the tournament has become annual, and that's very good. Every game, we remember the guys from the sector, our Heroes, all fallen defenders of Ukraine. But today is a special day. The tournament gave everyone a lot of positive emotions: goals, playoffs, penalty shootouts - all the things we love football for. I would like to thank all those who took part in it. I also want to thank all those who are currently defending our Independence, because without them there would be nothing, and this tournament in particular," emphasized the vice-president of FC "Kryvbas" Artem Gagarin.

All participants of this year's #РPCUP2024:

Group A: "AK-27", "F-16", "Kryvbas Media", "Bad Side", "DonDUVS".

Group B: "GUNP", "Rudomain", "Joker and Co", "YUGOK", "KNU".

Group C: IFC "Sparta", "KUPNO", "Arcelor", IFC "AES", "KEOP".

Group D: "Fans 2.0", "The Company", "TK", "Old School Kryvbas", "Centuria".

The media service of "Kryvbas" was represented by club journalists. Ihor Drobniy, Oleksandr Akulenko, Roman Vasylkovskyi, Dmytro Pugach, and others decently opposed the experienced teams of group A, but still they were not destined to overcome the group stage. After a draw in the opening match against the bronze medalist of last year's tournament, "Bad Side" - 3:3, the journalists beat "DonDUVS" - 4:0 and parted ways with the strong "F-16" - 0:0.

In the last match against one of the favorites of the competition, "AK-27", the red-whites, who only needed victory to qualify for the playoffs, led 5:1 with 0 minutes to go thanks to a penalty goal by Roman Vasilkovsky, but still could not hold on. pressure of a more experienced opponent, and conceded - 1:3.

The following teams met in the quarterfinals: "AK-27" - "Rudomine", "GUNP" - "F-16", "Sparta" - "Company", "KUPNO" - "Fans 2.0". Emotions, struggle, despair, joy of victory - all this was present on Sunday at the "Kryvbas" Academy. In the semifinals, "Sparta", last year's winner of the competition, and "GUNP" did not determine who was stronger in the main time of the game - 1:1 and scored post-match penalties, in which Fortuna had the last laugh.

But in the other semi-final, everything was decided in the main time of the game: "Rudomaine" beat "Bbolivalniki 2.0" - 3:1. In the match for the third place, "Sparta" defeated the fans and won the third place. But in the decisive match of the competition, "Rudomyn" was stronger than "GUNP": 1:1 and victory in the penalty shootout.

"Thank you very much to the Kryvbas Football Club for organizing this tournament, everything went at a high level. The tournament is held for the second year in a row and it is very important that it becomes traditional. We dedicate the competition to the boys, Heroes of Ukraine, who defended our country and died. We remember our friends, comrades. The most important result of the tournament is the collection of more than 40 hryvnias for those "Kryvbas" ultras who continue to defend our state from the enemy. At the award ceremony, all teams received commemorative awards from the hands of FC "Kryvbas" managers, and the prize-winners received medals.
