Santiago Cuiza, the Bolivian midfielder for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, discusses preparations for the UPL Matchday 11 home game against Dynamo Kyiv.
- A match against Dynamo lies ahead. How do you assess your upcoming opponent, and what is the team’s mindset heading into the game?
- We are well aware that Dynamo is a strong opponent - a club with a European pedigree and one of the giants of Ukrainian football. We’ve put in good work during training this week, and we’re approaching this match with a positive mindset, especially after advancing to the next round of the Ukrainian Cup. That’s very important for the team from a psychological standpoint.
- What kind of match do you expect this to be, and what will you need to focus on specifically to secure a positive result?
- We know a tough challenge awaits us, but we are well-prepared, focused, and will do everything in our power to take all three points.
- You have been gradually adapting to the team and to life in Kryvyi Rih. How comfortable do you feel at Kryvbas now?
- It was a bit difficult at first, but I’m adapting step by step and feeling increasingly comfortable at Kryvbas. As I always say, the most important thing is to contribute to the team - whether on the pitch or off it.
- The victory over Zorya and advancing to the next round of the Ukrainian Cup have boosted the team’s confidence. How important is it to maintain this positive momentum heading into the game against Dynamo?
- Right now, the team is indeed riding a wave of high spirits following the cup match. This boosts our confidence and brings positive energy ahead of the encounter with Dynamo. We are determined to win, believe in our own abilities, and will do everything to delight our fans.
